In this recent work, fragments of fabrics recovered from the UK shoreline are presented as a collection of sample swatches. We can assume that these found fabric pieces are lost to the memory of their previous owners. However, each sample has now been assigned one of my own memories or thoughts as an accompanying written text. By doing so, the fabric samples become activated, becoming holding places for each assigned memory. Thus, preventing further acts of forgetting.
